A delightfully illustrated edition of Demoustier’s Lettres à Émilie, published as part of the Oeuvres, with the additional half-title. First published in 1790, this was a hugely popular work dedicated to the instruction of young women. This is the author’s last life-time edition. The plates include a frontispiece portrait by Gaucher and a suite of 36 plates after Monnet, engraved by Audouin and Gaucher.
